Amherst deputies make multiple arrests connection to armed robbery

AMHERST COUNTY (WSLS 10) - The Amherst County Sheriff's Office has made several arrests related to an armed robbery.

Deputies received a report of an armed robbery that happened at about 4:35 a.m. on September 16. The 24-year-old victim, was robbed at gunpoint at 2626 Richmond  Highway in Amherst, but  was not  injured.

Deputies say they were able to initially arrest Alice Faye Hutton, 32, of Amherst for her involvement in the incident. Hutton is charged with Use of Firearm in Commission of a Felony, Robbery, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

When they returned to the address to execute a search warrant, several others were arrested.

Jennifer Ann Davis, 37, Madison Heights

  • Robbery
  • Use of Firearm in Commission of a  Felony
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted  Felon

James Edward Emerson, 34, Amherst

  • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted  Felon

David Alexander Jordan, 38, Amherst

  • Robbery
  • Use of Firearm in Commission of a  Felony
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted  Felon

Also arrested during the search warrant, for offenses unrelated to the robbery, were:

David Anthony  Konoka,  Missouri

  • Fugitive warrant related to various felony charges in Missouri to include Burglary
  • Awaiting extradition

John Wayne Lawhorne, 50, Amherst

  • Possession w/ Intent to Sell/Distribute Methamphetamine

All of those arrested were taken to the Amherst Adult Detention Center.
