BLACKSBURG (WSLS 10 SPORTS) - Virginia Tech shut out Boston College Saturday but the celebration was short lived as the Hokies prepare for an ECU team that they lost to the past two years.

"Honestly we're looking forward to this year, we put the game behind us last year and of course want to go out there and do this year right. Now working this week preparing for the team are about to play this year so hopefully we can go out there and play Virginia Tech football and come out with the win," said linebacker Tremaine Edmunds.

"They have very good football players, when you watch them play their athletic defensively, they're moving all over the place they had over 500 yards of offense last week they had a receiver catch 22 balls last week and they can hurt you in so many ways there just a very good football team," Coach Justin Fuente explained.

The Pirates are 2-1 and already have an ACC win under their belt, defeating N.C. State 33-30 in their second game of the season.

"ECU's very good, they just had a big win against N.C. State so we know the past couple two years they beat us but you got to approach it like it's any other game and we're ready for them," wide receiver C.J. Carroll said.

Kickoff is at 12:30 at Lane Stadium Saturday, Coach Fuente is seeking his third straight home win.
