Woman suffers non-life-threatening injuries after fall from Styles Falls

MONTGOMERY COUNTY (WSLS 10) - Crews responded to Camp Alta Mons on Monday after a 22-year-old woman fell from Styles Falls.

Two girls were hiking along the falls when one fell 35-feet, according to Neal Turner, the Montgomery County Emergency Services Coordinator.

Turner also said the girl suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The Shawsville Volunteer Rescue Squad was one of the agencies responding.

The camp is a summer camp and retreat center owned by the Roanoke District of the United Methodist Church, according to the camp's website.
