UPDATE: 'Armed and dangerous' man in custody after Franklin County shooting

FRANKLIN COUNTY (WSLS 10) - The Franklin County Sheriff's Office has taken the man it believes shot another man early Friday morning into custody.

The sheriff's office announced the arrest at about 7 p.m. on Friday.

Warrants for assault and malicious wounding had been issued for 21-year-old Justin Devon Page, of Rocky Mount.

Early Friday morning, the sheriff's office responded to a gunshot call in the 2200 block of Iron Ridge Road in Rocky Mount.

When officers arrived, they found Marques Jermaine Whorley, who had been shot multiple times according to the sheriff's office.

The sheriff's office considered Paige armed and dangerous.
