Wanted man captured after eluding deputies in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY (WSLS 10) - A man who ran away from Montgomery County Sheriff's deputies on Tuesday has been captured, according to the sheriff's office.

Jason York, 31, was wanted for failing to appear in court for being a felon in possession of a firearm and failing to appear in court for assault and battery.

On Tuesday, September 13, York got away from deputies and U.S. Marshals from the Craigs Mountain Road area of Christiansburg.

On Thursday at 11:39 a.m., the sheriff's office posted a notice from the U.S. Marshals Service that he had been captured.
