Blacksburg prepares for 10th Sustainability Week

BLACKSBURG (WSLS 10) – The town of Blacksburg is getting ready to kick off its 10th annual Sustainability Week on Sunday.

The week will feature 25 events on Virginia Tech’s campus and across town, which includes a tour of the Smithfield Plantation’s community garden, a ribbon cutting for downtown’s 16 Frogs project and a farmer’s market kickoff.

There are also six service projects lined up throughout the week that community members can get involved in.

Earlier this week, Blacksburg Town Council adopted a new climate action plan.
