$7,000 reward being offered for information on dog found dead, shot in head in Campbell County

CAMPBELL COUNTY (WSLS 10) - Campbell County Animal Control is investigating after a Labrador–pit bull puppy was found locked inside a metal cage, shot in the head and left beside Holcomb Path Road on Monday, according to PETA.

No arrests have been made yet in connection to the case.

PETA is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this crime.

The Danville Area Humane Society and the Virginia Alliance for Animal Shelters are each offering an additional reward of $1,000, which brings the total reward to $7,000.
