No foul play suspected in Gladys man's death

CAMPBELL COUNTY (WSLS 10) - The Campbell County Sheriff's says nothing in the autopsy of a Gladys man found dead on Thursday indicates foul play.

The sheriff's office received a call on Thursday at about 8:16 a.m. about the body of a man found outside his mobile home in the 4800 block of Three Creeks Road in Gladys.

The body has since been identified as 57-year-old Gordon Timothy Craft. Craft, who lived alone, was found unresponsive on the front porch of his home as early as 7 a.m.

He had some minor visible injuries to his body and there was evidence of a fall on the back deck area of the mobile home.

An autopsy performed on Friday at the Medical Examiner's Office in Roanoke did not discover anything in the autopsy that would be indicative of foul play.

There were findings consistent with Craft having experienced a medical event just prior to his death, according to the sheriff's office.

More tests to include toxicology are being performed to aid in the investigation.

At this time, the Campbell County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the death of Craft.

Anyone with information should contact the Campbell County Sheriff's Office Investigations Division at 434-332-9580.
