Round Town: flea market, music and more

(WSLS 10) - Head to Hillsville this weekend for some shopping at the annual Hillsville Flea Market. Vendors will set up along the streets and surrounding fields for the huge sale where you will find anything from antiques to vinyl records, baseball cards, clothes and more. Vendors will set up daily through Monday starting at 8 a.m. with most closing around 6 p.m. More than 500,000 people are expected to attend this annual event.

The Bedford County Fair continues throughout the weekend. It's the second year of the event after a 45 year hiatus. The fair includes food and rides, as well as a livestock show, educational events and numerous exhibits. The fair runs daily through Sunday with events getting underway starting at 10 a.m. Friday and Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday.

The Rotary Club of Salem holds a fundraiser, Star-B-Q. There will be barbeque as well as entertainment. Chase Bryant and Rutledge are expected to play. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the gate. The festival run from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday night.

Downtown Roanoke is the place to be for First Fridays. Enjoy a great night of fun while helping local charities. Superhold, playing hits from the 80s, will perform while you enjoy food, music and more. Admission is $5. Gates open at 5 p.m. with the event running until 9 p.m.

Danville's Community Market is home to the last River District Fridays of the year. Josh Phillips will perform. There's also food and drinks available with happy hour specials from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Admission is $5. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.

Head to the Harvester Performance Center in Rocky Mount for "Legacy Motown Revue." The groups will perform the sounds of The Drifters, The Coasters, The Jacksons and more. The show is Saturday night at 7 p.m. Tickets are $22.
