ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - The numbers are in after the first ever Deschutes Brewery Street Pub in Roanoke and all of them are record-breaking.
Twenty-two thousand people came out to the first time event, 241 kegs were tapped, resulting in $81,000 raised for local non-profits.
Organizers said they are blown away with the record-breaking response here compared to larger markets.
"For a community of our size, going up against Sacramento, Philly, Denver, Minneapolis, and D.C., you know, big population base, for us this is just a testimonial that we really are welcoming them here as a corporate partner," explained Pete Eshelman, Director of Roanoke Outside Foundation.
Eshelman says you're going to start seeing a lot more of Deschutes.
The company is sponsoring an upcoming festival and river clean-ups.
