(WSLS 10) - The BelkGives on the Go Mobile Mammography Center will set up today at Valley View Mall in Roanoke. Women over the age of 40, who have not had a mammogram in the last year, can schedule an appoint to get one for free. Over the last two years, more than 7,400 mammograms have been performed, resulting in thirty cancer diagnoses. The mobile mammography center will set up in Christiansburg tomorrow.

The Institute for Advanced Learning and Research holds its first Lunch and Learn today. Scientist will show how using an AgBOT can help farmers monitor their crops, increase yield and decrease irrigation and the overuse of fertilizers and pesticides. Registration is required. The event begins at noon.

Carilion Clinic Health Educators will set up at the Goodwill on Archcrest Drive in Roanoke today starting at 1 p.m. They will perform free blood pressure and diabetes risk assessment screenings.

Kroger will celebrate the expansion of its fuel center starting today in Blacksburg. The store will give discounts on gas at the store on South Main Street. The store has added more pumps and six diesel fueling lanes. If you use your Kroger Plus Card, you will get a 20 cent discount on each gallon of gas on top of any fuel points you use.

Roanoke City Police holds a promotion ceremony today. The department will honor a new Deputy Chief, Captain, Lieutenant and Sergeant. The ceremony begins at 4 p.m. at the Roanoke Police Academy.
