Spicy Cocktails

Natalie and Brittany are joined in the Daytime Kitchen with mixologist Ashley Vinci. Today we're learning how to give our favorite drinks a little kick.

Here's the recipes:

Michelada

3-4 oz. Tomato Juice or Bloody Mary Mix

1-2 Limes juiced (about 2 tbls)

1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

2 dashes hot sauce

6oz. beer

Garnish with green olives and lime wedge

1 tbls. coarse sea salt

1 tsp. chili powder

Combine the sea salt and chili powder.  This will be used to rim your cocktail glass.  Use a lime to wet the rim of your glass and them dip the glass into the salt and chili powder mixture.  Fill glass with ice and build your michelada.  Add each of your ingredients to the glass.  Stir cocktail.  Garnish with olives and lime wedge.  Enjoy!

Cayenne Carrot Mimosa

1 part fresh carrot juice

1 part fresh squeezed orange juice

3-4 parts champagne or prosecco

dash of cayenne

garnish: orange slices

Mix and serve in chilled champagne glasses.
