WISH News Team – HOWARD COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – A state of emergency has been issued for Howard County until 9 p.m.
Residents have been asked to stay off the roads in order to allow emergency personnel to do their work.

The state of emergency comes after severe storms hit central Indiana Wednesday afternoon with multiple warnings issued thought out the area.
A Starbucks in Howard County, in Kokomo sustained severe damage as a result of the storms in central Indiana Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Howard County Dispatch, the Starbucks located in the 1400 block of South Reed Road in Kokomo was heavily damaged.
