Angels of Assisi helping animals impacted by Louisiana flooding

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Angels of Assisi plans to take in 38 dogs from the Louisiana flooding. Organizers said the dogs were at shelters before the floods hit and were evacuated either due to shelter flooding or to make space for the large influx of lost pets.

Staff at Angels of Assisi said all of the dogs were past their stray hold period and available for rescue or adoption. They are in need of foster homes to help care for the new arrivals. If you are able to provide a safe place for one of these dogs for a few weeks, please email Brittany at bhyler@angelsofassisi.org.
