33-year-old man shot and killed in Danville

DANVILLE (WSLS 10) -The Danville Police Department is investigating the homicide of 33-year-old Christopher Lamont Motley.

Investigators say it happened Saturday, August 20 around 10 p.m. in the area of North Hills Ct. in Danville.

Police received a 9-1-1 call at approximately 10:27 p.m. for reports of shots fired. When police arrived they found Motley unresponsive outside of building 124 with obvious gunshot wounds.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS. Motley's body will be sent to the Medical Examiner's Office in Roanoke for an autopsy. The investigation is active and ongoing.
