ROANOKE (WSLS10) Roanoke Rescue Mission Workers said Lyla Matheny is the winner of the Drustick Dash Turkey Drawing Contest. Organizers said she beat about 60 others who submitted their pieces of art in the contest.
Organizers said Lyla's drawing will be on the t-shirts sold from the race on Thanksgiving Day.

"It's just so fun, we've had a lot of kids come up and they're excited about seeing their piece up in the gallery, so it's really cool to see their faces and how excited they are to be involved in this," Amy McArthur, the Development Associate for the Rescue Mission said.
Lyla won two free race registrations. The Drumstick Dash is held on Thanksgiving morning.
