ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - video of a rising 9th grader's performance of "He Lives in You" from "The Lion King" is going viral.

It's the number that brought the house down. James Madison Middle School performed 'He Lives in You' from the hit Broadway show The Lion King. The students received a well deserved standing ovation from the crowd. Watch and share this video. It will give you chills!

That's rising 9th grader Lea Hatangimana playing the role of Rafiki.

Students at James Madison Middle School in Roanoke performed the show stopper back in April and then again at the school system's convocation this week.

Lea says she loves to sing, but this was her first time taking part in a show.

So far, more than 150,000 people have viewed the Facebook video since it was posted on Monday.

"I love when singing touches people. When it touches people's hearts it changes them it makes them a better person and makes them want to be different and be positive. That's why I enjoy singing and why I just love it," said Lea.

She wass also able to sing for the cast of the Broadway show during a trip to New York earlier this year.

James Madison will put on "Beauty and the Beast" next April.
