GW High stadium could get multi-million dollar facelift

DANVILLE (WSLS 10) - The stadium at George Washington High School in Danville could get a multi-million dollar makeover.

This week, Danville city council got an update from the company that has been working to determine what needs to be done at the stadium and how much it would cost.

The track is completely unusable and the drainage of the stadium needs to be reconfigured.

Some of the seating and the press boxes also need to be updated.

All of the work is estimated to cost $5-9 million.

There is no timeline yet for when city council or the school district may decide to move forward with renovations.
