God's Pit Crew sending supplies to Louisiana flood victims

DANVILLE (WSLS 10) - Supplies from God's Pit Crew are on their way to Louisiana to help with flooding relief.

Three trucks left Danville on Thursday morning, another two left Thursday afternoon and one left Wednesday.

The supplies are being taken to Baton Rouge and from there will be distributed by local volunteers as needed.

God's Pit Crew CEO Randy Johnson said the warehouse was starting to get low on supplies Thursday afternoon, but the organization will help as much as it can.

"All of those trucks are filled with bottled water, our blessing buckets which are personal hygiene supplies and food, paper products, diapers, snack foods," explained Johnson.

Johnson says the trucks will likely end up taking a few more loads of supplies to Louisiana next week.
