BLAND COUNTY (WSLS 10) - Virginia State Police have released the name of the truck driver who died in Wednesday's tanker-trailer crash in Bland County.
51-year-old Reginald C. Tye, of Racine, Wisconsin, was traveling south on I-77 when he ran off the left side of the interstate, struck the guard rail, overturned into the median and caught fire.

Police say he was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the truck.
The man who was in the passenger seat survived the crash and was transported to Wythe County Community Hospital for treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The tanker was carrying cooking oil and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
