Virginia State Police make relief donation to West Virginia officers

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. (WSLS 10) - Virginia State Police are making a difference for their brothers in blue.

Troopers from Area 38, which includes Alleghany, Bath and Highland counties, collected money to give to two officers in the White Sulphur Springs Police Department who lost everything in the flooding.

Tuesday, Sgt. Kyle Moore handed over more than $500 in cash.

"Virginia State Police Dispatch is making a difference out there every day. We do more than write tickets and work wrecks. We are part of the communities in which we live in and we like to help as much as we like to make things safe," said Moore.

On the day of the flooding, one of the officers receiving the donation helped others in the community while his home was being destroyed.
