BLACKSBURG (WSLS 10) - LewisGale Hospital Montgomery launched a $6 million renovation project.
Hospital leaders said area growth has increased the demand for health care services across the board, especially the expansion at Virginia Tech.
The emergency room will get a makeover, including a larger triage section and the surgical department will also receive enhancements, as well as security systems and the progressive care unit.
Construction is scheduled to wrap up next year.
