CHRISTIANSBURG (WSLS 10) - The Town of Christiansburg Park and Recreation department is hosting the 2nd annual "Eight Mile bridge Challenge Walk."
This year, participants will take the Huckleberry Trail from Blacksburg to Renva Bridge in Christiansburg.

Town leaders said their goal is to extend the trail into Christiansburg's downtown area.
"This provided a gateway of opportunities for the Huckleberry Trail and basically looking more into our development of the Huckleberry Trail as we more forward into the extension into our downtown area of the Christiansburg," said Brad Epperley, the Director of Parks and Recreation.
The walk is set for September 10.
The deadline to register is September 5. Up to 70 people can participate.
