WYTHEVILLE (WSLS 10) - The numbers are in and tourism leaders say this year's 100 mile yard sale has been a huge success.
Grayson County leaders say they have seen more than 42 hundred vehicles travelling along highway 21.
In the town of Speedwell in Wythe Count, tourism leaders say 7,000 drivers were on the road for the entire weekend of the yard sale.
Leaders say they're glad to know more people are interested in the yard sale.
"I think it shows that people are looking for different things to do, places to see everybody is getting a little tired of the interstates, when you go down Wytheville to sparta north carolina you'll see beautiful scenery," Frances Emerson, with the Town of Wytheville said.
Next year's 100 mile yard sale is July 28 through the 30.
