GREENBRIER COUNTY (WSLS 10) - Search crews in Greenbrier County found a body on Tuesday believed to be a victim of June's floods.

After seven weeks of searching and near the end of an eight-hour day, cadaver dogs found the body near Route 60 in Caldwell.

The body was found under a propane tank in a pile of debris near the river.

Although they can't confirm the identity, authorities believe they found the remains of 14-year-old Mykala Phillips.

Greenbrier County Sheriff Jan Cahill said "We located a massive debris pile across the creek. We cannot confirm obviously but we found a full set of remains,...strong indication we are not in the position to confirm, but strong indication that this is the person we have been looking for."

Helicopters, drones, boats, divers, cadaver dogs as well as foot searches have helped in the search over the past 47 days.

Authorities spoke with Phillips family in hopes of providing some type of closure for them.
