PATRICK COUNTY (WSLS 10) - A Meadows of Dan woman has been arrested in connection with the death of her two-month-old son, according to County Sheriff Dan Smith.
19-year-old Michaela Jae Barnard Wester was arrested on Friday and charged with first degree murder, Smith said on Monday.

Earlier this January, Wester's son was transported to Pioneer Hospital in Stuart, where he was pronounced dead as the result of respiratory arrest.
Wester had called the 911 center earlier and said that he was not breathing.
Smith said an autopsy was completed by the state medical examiner's office in Roanoke, and nothing suspicious was found as far as cause of death.
Smith said that the sheriff's office re-opened the investigation last week when new evidence surfaced, and Wester later confessed to intentionally suffocating the infant.
Wester is being held in the Patrick County Jail without bond.
