Lynchburg police searching for suspect after armed robbery

LYNCHBURG (WSLS 10) - Lynchburg police are searching for the person they say robbed Check First Cash Advance on Thursday morning.

At about 11:12 a.m., police responded to 3701 Fort Avenue to investigate an armed robbery that had just happened.

When officers arrived on the scene, an employee told them a manĀ entered the business, pointed a firearm at them, and demanded money.

The suspect then left theĀ scene.

The employees described him as about 6-feet-tall and weighing between 200 and 220 pounds. They also said he appeard to be in his mid20s to mid30s.

No one was harmed during the robbery, according to police.

Anyone, who has information related to this incident that aids in the investigation and arrest of the suspect, may be eligible for a reward.
