Political analysis on Trump town hall in Roanoke

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - WSLS 10 political analyst Ed Lynch breaks down what Trump said during his speech in Roanoke.

Several times Trump referenced gaining support from evangelicals throwing out names such as Franklin Graham and Jerry Falwell Jr.

Trump even brought up the last election, saying evangelicals didn't rally behind Republican candidate Mitt Romney.

Lynch said,"it's imperative he reach the traditional Republican coalition. This is made up of fiscal conservatives, foreign policy hawks, evangelical Christians, pro-family, pro-life, pro-second amendment, that entire coalition."

He said "Pence was chosen primarily to reassure traditional Republicans, conservative Republicans, evangelical Republicans that their voice will be heard."

Lynch said Clinton's vice-presidential pick Tim Kaine makes Virginia more difficult for Donald Trump to win.
