Galax police arrest two men on drug charges

GALAX (WSLS 10) - Galax police arrested two men on July 21, one for having meth, and the other for having and selling marijuana.

Brandon Lee Evans, 30, of Galax, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine.

Police were alerted to a call of someone acting erratically and when Galax police K-9 Aio searched the vehicle Evans was driving and found some meth.

He was sent to the NRVJ on a secured bond pending his appearance in the Galax General District Court.

Also on July 21, 41-year-old Jeremiah Z. Morris, of Patrick County, was arrested and charged with distribution of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

Two officers were investigating a complaint of an individual selling narcotics in a Galax parking lot, and arrested Morris after they say he sold narcotics to an undercover police officer.

Morris is held without bond in the New River Valley Jail pending his appearance in the New River Valley Jail.
