Businesses in Roanoke help donate books for WV Library

ROANOKE (WSLS10) - A Roanoke business is collecting money and books to help those impacted by the deadly storms in West Virginia. Greenbrier Nurseries in the Star City hosted a book drive today.

The owner, Jim Monore says so far, more than 30 boxes have been filled. The Rainelle Library in West Virginia was destroyed in the flooding. Monroe said the library is vital to the community.

"The community has really lost it's center for internet service, for those people, low income people who don't have a computer at home or access to the internet so its a wonderful project to be a catalyst to help get that back together," Monroe said.

Monroe said he plans to continue to collect books and money until the end of July.
