Round Town: Commonwealth Games, movies

(WSLS 10) - This weekend is the main games weekend for the Commonwealth Games. Athletes from around Virginia will take part in more than sixty sports. The Opening Ceremony begins at 7 p.m. on Friday at the Vines Center on Liberty University's campus. Events will continue throughout the weekend. Weekend passes are $20.

Head to Warm Springs for the first ever Poor Farm Bluegrass Festival. In addition to bluegrass music, there will be a flea market, barbeque and crafters. The flea market starts at 9 a.m. with the music kicking off at 3 p.m. Admission is $20 at the gate. Proceeds benefit the Bloar Volunteer Fire Department.

Enjoy a night of baseball in Danville and help a good cause. If you bring a donation for Goodwill to the game Saturday night, you will receive a free general admission ticket for the Danville Braves game. The game begins at 7 p.m.

Head to Franklin County for Movies on the Move Friday night. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs to Antioch Community Park as you watch "Inside Out" under the stars. The movie starts at 8 p.m.

Head to the Floyd Country Store Friday night for the Friday Night Jamboree. Musical guests include The Geneva Convention, Tune Town Old Time String Band and Mac Traynham and Friends. The music begins at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $5.

Head to Lexington this weekend at Summer Restaurant Week gets underway. Several restaurants will offer deals throughout the week with $10 lunch specials and $20 and $30 dinner specials.
