BEDFORD COUNTY (WSLS 10) – Virginia State Police are investigating a crash on Route 743, a quarter of a mile east of Route 654 that killed a man.
Police say just before 8 p.m. Wednesday a 1976 Chevrolet Sierra was traveling east on Route 743 when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, over-corrected, then crossed the roadway and overturned.

The Chevrolet was driven by Leo Allen Harper, Jr. 39, of Pembrooke, Va. Mr. Harper was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
