RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe says he's slated to speak at next week's Democratic National Convention right after his close friend Hillary Clinton gets enough roll call votes to be the party's official nominee for president.

McAuliffe told reporters Wednesday that he's still preparing his speech, but said he's been given "free rein to say whatever I want" by Democratic party officials.
