Three arrested in Christiansburg on meth-related charges

CHRISTIANSBURG (WSLS 10) - Law enforcement in Christiansburg found guns and meth during an investigation onĀ Sunday.

Deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff's OfficeĀ and officers withĀ the Christiansburg Police Department stopped a vehicle in the 1100 block of West Main StreetĀ inĀ Christiansburg.

During the stop, officers foundĀ two firearms, anĀ activeĀ one-pot meth-laboratory, methamphetamine-related precursorĀ chemicals and methamphetamine.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office arrested and charged three people with making more than 28 grams of meth and conspiracy to make more than 28 grams of meth.

David Andrew Hodge, 32, of Salem, also faces charges of possession of methamphetamine and possessionĀ of a firearm while possessing methamphetamine;Ā Kara Beth Burton, 20, of Blacksburg, faces a charge of possession ofĀ methamphetamine andĀ Richard Skyler Helm, 34, of Shawsville, faces no additional charges.

All three are being held without bond. The investigation is ongoing and additionalĀ charges are pending.
