Roanoke Greenway attacker sentenced to 20 years in prison

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - A man previously found guilty of groping a woman on the Roanoke River Greenway will now spend 20 years in prison.

Alexander Billow was sentenced Tuesday afternoon for abduction with intent to defile, exposing himself to a child and obscene exposure in public.

According to online court records, these incidents happened in May and July of 2015.

On July 7, he pleaded no contest to the charges. The grand larceny charge he was facing was dropped.

In April 2016, Billow was found guilty of groping a woman on the Roanoke River Greenway on August 9, 2015.
