Roanoke Co. store collecting items to donate to W.Va. flood victims

ROANOKE COUNTY (WSLS 10) - A Roanoke County business is now serving as a drop-off point for West Virginia flood relief supplies.

Yarid's Shoes on Starky Road also has two locations in West Virginia; one inside The Greenbrier resort and another in Lewisburg.

Four of the store's employees were directly affected by last month's flooding and Roanoke manager Stephanie Ragsdale said they couldn't sit back and not help.

"Our employees are people that we speak to everyday on a daily basis, multiple times, so of course, you know, they're like our family," said Ragsdale.

Employees in Roanoke are working to make deliveries to Greenbrier County twice a week.

If you're interested in giving, you can drop off supplies or gift cards at the Yarid's store in The Forum shopping center.
