Round Town: fairs and festivals

(WSLS 10) - The Martinsville Mustangs annual Ballpark Beer Fest is this weekend. More than 50 craft types of craft beer will be on tap with unlimited samplings and live music. Only 400 tickets are available. Tickets start at $30 with designated drivers getting in for $5. It's Saturday from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The Salem Fair continues this weekend through Sunday. Enjoy the rides and the fair food. Wristbands are available for unlimited rides with deals offered on those throughout the weekend. The fun gets underway at 4 p.m. on Friday and noon on Saturday and Sunday.

Narrows celebrates Independence Day this weekend after being rained out earlier this week. The annual community parades starts at 11 a.m. on Saturday. There's also food and the annual Duck Race on Sinking Creek. You can also get your pets photo taken at the Newport Volunteer Rescue Squad.

Music at Miller returns to Lynchburg on Saturday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Celebrate summer with this family friendly music event. You'll enjoy the sounds of "Sophizticated Soundz" and "Funky Bone." In addition to the music, there will be food trucks, activities for kids and dance demonstrations. Admission is free.

Head to the Vinton Farmers' Market for an Arts and Crafts Show. Handmade jewelry, baskets, candles and more will be for sale. There's also a free craft activity for kids and music. It's 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Run through the streets of Roanoke while helping students at the Life-Guard 5K Rotor Run. The race starts at River's Edge Sports Complex. Proceeds from the event support a Jefferson College of Health Sciences scholarship. The run begins at 8 a.m.
