ALLEGHANY COUNTY (WSLS 10) - A Botetourt County emergency responder was taken to the hospital after being hurt during flood rescue operations. He is listed in critical but stable condition according to Battalion Chief Andrew Moore. His name is not being released.
Two other Botetourt County firefighters have minor injuries according to Moore.

Alleghany County Lt. Matt Bowser says the Botetourt fire and rescue crews were helping them during the flooding and doing an evacuation for a person on Dunlap Creek on the Dunlap Beach area. During the rescue, one Botetourt County firefighter fell into the water.
Lt. Bower said he was taken to the Alleghany Regional Hospital and was later transferred to Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
We're expecting more information to be released later Friday morning from Botetourt County.
