PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY (WSLS 10) - The Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office is investigating a house fire that left one person and three dogs dead.
The Pittyslvania County Sheriff's Office said it happened around noon Saturday afternoon at 198 Fox Lane in Chatham.

Once the fire was under control and firefighters were able to gain entry, a body was found inside the residence, according to the Sheriff's Office.
The body has been sent to the medical examiner's office for positive identification along with cause of death.
The fire remains under investigation.
