Kids and Pros Football Camp Returns

LYNCHBURG (WSLS 10 SPORTS) -

The Kids and Pros football clinic has returned to Lynchburg this week, giving kids ages 7-13 the chance to learn football and much more.

The non-profit organization travels across the southeast to carry their mission of developing character and skills through athletics. It was founded by former Atlanta Falcons Buddy Curry and Bobby Butler. The camps also give other former NFL players the opportunity to give back to the community. One of the main highlights of the program is it's partnership with Heads Up Football.

"Heads Up Football teaches concussion awareness, illness, heat illness, sickness and it teaches young people a safe way to actually play the game of football", said former NFL player Evan Cooper.

The three day camp wraps up Wednesday at E.C. Glass High School. The camp will return July 20-22 in Danville.
