Roanoke Rampage gears up to take on Central Texas Wolfpack

ROANOKE (WSLS10) - Some first responders are lacing up their shoes to practice for a championship title. The Roanoke Rampage Football Team is made up of professional fire, police, EMS and public safety workers throughout Roanoke and the New River Valley. The football team will take on Texas and they're hoping to come back with the championship title.

The  team was formed to raise money for local charities like "Straight Street" where teens can get someone to help with their problems.

"This is a real good group of men right here, like I said they're selfless, they come together they not only give to their communities through their work but come together and give through football and give to charity," Casey Stewart, the head coach said.

The Roanoke Rampage will take on Central Texas Wolfpack in Austin this Saturday June 18th.
