Pulaski man saves great-grandmother from attacker

PULASKI (WSLS 10) - A Pulaski man is being called a hero after he sprung into action to save his great-grandmother from an attacker.

81-year-old Mildred Arner was walking back to her car after attending a birthday party at Heritage Park on Sunday

That is when a stranger, 18-year-old Aaron Sharp, approached her and shoved her to the ground. He then stood over her as if to prepare to keep beating her.

Arner's great-grandson, Jordan Tabor, saw what was happening and ran to the rescue. He subdued Sharp until police arrived.

Tabor claims Sharp told him during the fight that he was high on drugs.

"I could be dead or in a hospital," said Arner. "If he'd come at me again, I'd probably be dead."

Arner was hospitalized for cuts and bruises, but did not have any broken bones. She is now home recovering.

Police charged Sharp with assault.
