It's a course that's been showered with accolades from the golfing community. It's a 2015-- "Best courses to play"...from Golfweek magazine--and the #1 public course in Virginia according to Golf Digest.  It is also one of America's top ten best new courses from travel and leisure golf.   I visited Primland in the first month the course opened back in 2006, but that before the lodge and many, many new buildings and facilities that now adorn the more than 12 thousand acres

"It's neat to be in Patrick County-- this part of southwest Virginia and you're right at 3000 feet so you have excellent views and most of the views are looking down which is pretty unique.  Most mountain golf courses that-- a lot of the mountain courses are actually valley golf courses-- and you're actually looking up at the views.  But here, you're kind of on a plateau so you're pretty much looking down and I think that's what sets us apart,  as well as the course conditions and overall it's just a great golf course design," explains Primland's head golf professional Brian Alley.

Primland's celebration extends through June, including a special visit from PGA tour professional Jay Haas. For more information please visit their website at http://primland.com/ .
