(WSLS 10) - The City of Radford holds its annual Memorial Day Service. The program will include music by the Radford High School Choir and Band, the Field of Crosses, a 21 gun salute and a bagpiper. It starts at 11 a.m. at Bissett Park.

The City of Martinsville holds a Memorial Day Ceremony today at the entrance to Peoples' Cemetary. Delegate Les Adams will attend as well as Veteran of the Year Thomas Spencer. Information will be given about the graves of World War One veterans buries at the cemetary.

Southgate Drive in Blacksburg remains closed today and may stay that way for several more days. VDOT says that rick in the area has slowed progress as crews work to install two drainage pipes. Crews will continue working 24 hours a day to get the work finished.

The Radford Theatre hosts a showing of the documentary "The Battle of Cloyd's Mountain." The film, produced by a Virginia Tech graduate, depicts the battle where union soldiers were sent to severe the Virginia and Tennessee Railroad. The showing begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $6.50.
