AMHERST COUNTY (WSLS 10) - WSLS 10 has confirmed with the Amherst County Sheriff's Office that they are searching for an armed robbery suspect.
The Sheriff's Office said it happened around 10 p.m. Sunday at the Smile Gas Station at 5201 South Amherst Hwy. in Madison Heights.

The Amherst County Sheriff's Office and Virginia State Police are searching by air and by ground.
