ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Roanoke County Police Chief Howard Hall and the commonwealth's attorney have released their findings in the police shooting of Kionte Spencer. They said there will not be charges against the 6 officers involved in the fatal shooting. Leaders of the NAACP said they are moving forward with plans to submit information to the United States Justice Department.
Brenda Hale said the public deserves to see the video of the Kionte Spencer shooting. The Roanoke County Police Department's decision not to release dashcam video of the shooting death continues to raises concerns.

"We expected that there will be no charges with the police officers," said Brenda Hale, President of the Roanoke Chapter of the NAACP. "We are still concerned about the policies and the process and the procedures."
Police Chief Howard Hall said the department will not release video of the shooting to the public in order to protect his officers and to prevent someone from altering the video.
Roanoke County Board of Supervisor Jason Peters was among a select group of people who did see the dashcam video.
"I do feel confident in our police department and our Commonwealth Attorney that they did a thorough investigation," said Peters.
Hale said the community could benefit from seeing exactly what happened the night Kionte Spencer was shoot and killed.
"I do believe the community could benefit" said Hale. "We have asked from the very beginning for an open and transparent investigation. There is such distrust in the process that was done.
