ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Ever want to name a professional sports team's mascot? Now's your chance!
On Tuesday, the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs announced their "Name the Mascot" contest that will run through Friday, June 10th at 5 p.m.

All fans interested in entering the contest should send their naming suggestions via email to contest@railyarddawgs.com along with their name and phone number.
A winning submission will be selected by the team's staff and ownership group and the winner will receive four tickets to the Rail Yard Dawgs home opening game on October 21.
"We're ecstatic to have such a good-looking, family friendly mascot and have such a strong company like HomeTrust Bank be the sponsor of it," said Rail Yard Dawgs Vice President Mickey Gray. "We think this naming contest will be a great way to involve our fans with this team and give them a voice in the process."
