Cave Spring tennis: A family affair

ROANOKE (WSLS 10 SPORTS) - Cave Spring, the defending 3A state team tennis champions are led by the Delp sisters, Fallon and Reagan, who also won the doubles title in 2015. This season, the Knights are undefeated. Fallon and Reagan are also undefeated in singles and doubles.

"What everybody keeps asking you about is are you going to win that state championship for the past few months, so now it's go time," said Fallon.

For the Delps, tennis is a family affair, Susan Delp is the head coach, and husband Ken helps out with the team.

Susan explained, "It's a wonderful feeling as a parent and as a coach to watch them excel."

"It's so special. It's something I'll never take for granted and I'll remember this forever. I just love having my whole family and my dad's an assistant coach too, I just love having everyone around to support each other," Fallon added.

Fallon fell in the singles state championship last year, but as a defending team and doubles champion, she has extra motivation to win the singles state title this time around.

"She's really taken tennis to a new level and she's wanting to fight hard to win that state championship this year," Susan said.

As Fallon and the Knights continue on their road to states, Coach Delp knows the girls are out for one thing.

"It's all about the bling for the girls, they love getting those rings."
