MONETA (WSLS 10 SPORTS) - Two members of the Staunton River football program committed to continue their football careers at Ferrum this fall.
Jordan Patti was first team all conference 31 offensive lineman and first team all conference defensive lineman.
Mikey Walker received second team all conference 31 offensive lineman honors. Both are 2015 Golden Hammer award winners among many other accolades. Staunton River head coach Chuck Poston is excited to see these two make the most of their hard work.
"When you have kids that work like these guys do, both in the classroom and on the field, success is going to follow and they paid their dues, they took their lumps as sophomores and juniors and now they got to reap the benefits of being seniors and more importantly they laid the groundwork for the next class to come," said Poston.
