Salvation Army transferring Capt. McKinley out of Roanoke

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Capt. Bill McKinley will be leaving the Salvation Army Roanoke Corps.

McKinley and his wife, Terrie, received orders to move to Norfolk and head-up a Salvation Army-run recreation center. The two moved here in 2014 to lead the Salvation Army in Roanoke.

McKinley said a transition team is in place to help make the change of leadership smooth and that a new captain will start in Roanoke at the end of June.
